My story
A passion since my youngest age
I've always had a passion for crafts; I love creating things with my hands. As a child, I would spend hours in my room making objects that I would then proudly present to my parents.
At 18, I arrived in Paris to study fashion design.
I then followed this with a year of modeling training.
My mother gave me the most beautiful gift of all: a sewing machine. From that day on, I never put it away again. I learned the different techniques as I created each garment.
Then, at the age of 21, life's challenges pushed me to pack my backpack and head off alone to the other side of the world, to Australia. There, I discovered who I was, I blossomed, I grew up, and I left behind the shy little girl I was. I still had a thirst for adventure, so I flew off for another year to New Zealand.
Back in France, I realized that the world of fashion no longer corresponded to what I was looking for.
So I turned to retail, in the field of sports and well-being, and spent the next 8 years of my life there.
I spent the lockdown at my sewing machine, creating and reconnecting with my passion.
The birth of my son
Then, in 2022, I became the mother of a little boy with pretty blond curls, and my life was completely turned upside down.
Motherhood brings with it its share of questions, doubts and self-questioning, and I realized that I was not living the life I aspire to .
It was only when my son started walking that the desire to sew his own clothes came to me. When he was 1 and a half years old, for Christmas, I sewed him a pretty pair of piping pajamas, and that's when the idea clicked.
This dream of having my own brand, which I kept inside, is finally taking shape.
A few months later, after having matured this idea, I left my permanent contract and founded Marmaille.
